![]() Though, being a flash drive, there's always the possibility that it dies suddenly, corrupts, hell even rendered unusable.ģ.0 is supposed to be backwards compatible, but it causes issues occasionally nonetheless. ![]() Just buy from a decent brand, don't cheap out, and make sure it's on the compatibility list. Read speeds will almost always be better than the original disc unless you buy an ultra cheapy 1.0 drive. Read/write speeds don't especially matter. The write speed of the CZ60 are a bit on the slow side, but once I have my games on the flash drive, they boot up fast enough for me (~5 seconds). Also I'm storing my backups on my computer as well so I'm not too worried about corrupting my files. I'm generally not looking for HDDs mostly for aesthetic reasons. I'm looking at small USB flash drives like these so it can be very discreet This is just an upgrade to C760 I felt like this might be the way to go because I had past success on CZ60 32 gb model I know that the Wii USB port only has 2.0 speeds, but I wasn't sure if using a USB 3.0 flash drive had any weird side effects ![]() Is there a way to measure stability of the flash drive?Īlso does USB 2.0 / USB 3.0 effect performance? (I thought it might based off my USB 3.0 flash drive failing) How much does read / write speeds mater for USB loader (what's the maximum speed a Wii can read from a USB drive?) I guess my biggest question is what kind of performance metrics should I look at in a flash drive before purchasing it. My 64 GB flash drive wouldn't load games at all ( Cruzer CZ36 USB 3.0) so I figured I should do some research before buying a larger flash drive. The performance is stable and fast enough for me, although I'd like to get a 128 GB flash drive to store my whole game collection. Hey! So right now I'm running a couple of my games on USB loader GX with a 32 GB flash drive ( Cruzer Glide CZ60 USB 2.0).
